+ what kind of chemical peel should i get?
We have a few different kinds of peels that we use for our clients. Our 2 most popular ones are a salicylic acid used for acne-prone clients and a lightening lift with kojic and lactic acid used for lightening pigment. We recommend coming in for a complimentary consultation to see which one is going to work best for you!
+ What can I expect after my treatment?
For our new clients, we recommend starting off with a light chemical peel as there is almost no downtime with these. Clients can expect to be a little bit pink at first and to maybe experience a little bit of tightness in the face. However, should you choose to do a deeper chemical peel, you will most likely experience the 'peel' in 'chemical peel'. The skin will usually flake up and fall off naturally. If you are getting a deeper chemical peel, you can expect the downtime to be about a week.
+ Is it painful?
People typically feel a mild sting that dissipates after about 30 seconds as the peel is being applied. This portion can be uncomfortable for some, but the quickness of the dissipation really helps. If you have ever had a chemical peel before, you may have noticed that some spas will give you a fan to hold over your face for the pain. We do not do this at Laser Loft as holding the fan over the face can evaporate the chemical and diminish your results.
+ how much does it cost?
A light chemical peel can be a stand alone service or it can be added on to a facial or microdermabrasion. Please contact your local location for accurate pricing.
We do offer deeper chemical peels for a higher price point. Keep in mind that our educated staff will inform you based on your skincare goals, which treatment plan will work best for you!
+ How many will i need?
This will be dependant on the individual and their skincare needs. On average, we recommend a series of 4-6 that will be space out about a month apart. However, this is subject to change based on what your end goal is.
